
Grand Canyon Cave Research Project
The Grand Canyon Cave Research Project is a non-profit project of the National Speleological Society dedicated to locating and surveying caves in Grand Canyon National Park and its vicinity. The project aims to study, document and preserve Grand Canyon caves and the valuable resources found within. The project places particular emphasis on research documentation so that other individuals and groups may benefit from the findings.
Project membership is open to anyone interested in making a positive contribution to Grand Canyon caves. There are no membership dues.
To date, members of the project have found 195 new caves and mapped over 73 miles of passage.
